If you are a fan of cabbage leaves, you should try this recipe, steamed cabbage.
Ingredients:
- 1 head of cabbage.
- 1/2kg of chopped beef.
- 1/2kg rice washed.
- 1 head of garlic, peeled and chopped.
- 1 teaspoon of pepper (to taste)
- 1/2cup of olive oil
- Salt to taste.
Preparation:
- Peel and discard the outer leaves of cabbage.
- Separate the leaves with a knife leaf by leaf.
- Wash the leaves with cold water.
- Chop the leaves (2x1) cm.of size.
- In a saucepan mix together the chopped leaves with chopped beef, rice, chopped garlic, salt and pepper.
- Then add olive oil and water until cover the ingredients.
- Cover the pan and cook on high temperature for about 5-10 minutes, until boil, then lower the heat for 30-40 minutes.
- Serve hot with a side of yogurt and a squeeze of lemon juice(optional)
