Kibbe bil Saniyeh # Baked kibbeh recipe,is a traditional recipe from the Middle East . Made with meat and bulgur , satisfactorily tasty and delicious.
Ingredients
For Filling:
- 2 medium onions.
- 1kg of minced red meat.
- 1/2 teaspoon salt.
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon powder.
- 1/2 teaspoon of grounded cumin.
For the mixture of meat and wheat :
- 1/2kg finely grounded red meat.
- 1kg thin wheat (Bulgur)
- 1 teaspoon of salt.
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
Preparation:
Rinse the bulgur with filtered water , and let 's side.Filling:
- Peel and finely chop the onions and saute with two tablespoons of vegetable oil.
- Add 1kg of minced red meat and break the lumps into small pieces with a spoon and stir over medium heat until cooked , about 10-15 minutes.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon salt,1/4 teaspoon pepper,1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and1/2 teaspoon cumin,then stir well.
Mixture of bulgur and grounded meat:
- Put the wet Bulgur in a fine mesh sieve , making sure to shake well to remove any excess water.
- Then Put it in a bowl and add 1/2kg of grounded meat.
- Add 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper , and mix well by hand or in a food processor.
- Make sure all the ingredients at this stage are so well integrated.
- Divide the mixture into two halves and let 's side.
- In a Tray put 2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil , and press evenly with hands one half of the mixture (to form the first layer) until the entire bottom of tray.
- Then add all the filling on the top.
- Finally , with wet hands , scoop the second half of the mixture, and little by little , add the mixture on top of baked filling , beating up each piece , connecting them and smoothing.
- Once the kibbe is mounted evenly , use a sharp knife to cut in a square pattern ( 10x10 )cm.
Baking:
- Melt 2-3 tablespoons of butter ( or olive oil ) and evenly drizzle on the top of kibbe.
- Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes or until fully baked.
- You may want to bake on top for a couple of minutes until golden color and crunchy texture.
- Serve with salad and vegetables.
